The Niner's vs The Saint's

Today Christopher split his chin open at school. Apparently he fell down off ladder and smacked his chin. It was quit the experience. He fell asleep on the way to urgent care and would not wake up. Doctor had 3 of us hold him down while she injected him with the numbing stuff. Let just say he wake up screaming. It brought a tear to my eye, my poor little baby. But after 3 stitches and a ice cream from spoon me, he is back in business

Christopher was recognized at his school for good classroom behavior.

every 2 months two students from each grade gets the award. They get called up in front of the school at a Assembly and get their picture taken. Christopher was super excited to go up there. When Jaime and I asked what it was for he said being a good listener in class and following the rules. :) we are so proud of you Christopher keep up the good work.

Well i celebrated another birthday this year like always... Funny all my pictures just show me and the girls, but we did invite some boys too. LOL It was a wonderful day new friends, old friends, and wonderful family. I couldn't ask for anything more. well maybe no hang over the next day, but no complaints here. Jaime and my dad did a wonderful job with the food and drinks; everyone seemed to have a great time too

Well its official, Jaime and I have a school aged child. Christopher started Kindergarten on August 15th 2011 at Kynoch. His teacher is Mrs. Villanueva (Mrs V) for short. He is settling in great with in his new classroom. It is hard to believe that he is growing up. The first day of school was harder on the parents than the children. The school had a BOO HOO breakfast for the new parents. It was sad knowing each day he is getting a little older, and soon will be a young man. Oh how time flies.

This year we decided to go camping for the 4th. Jaime and I wanted to take Christopher camping for his first trip. It also was around the time of my mothers birthday and she wanted to go camping too. Since Jaime works for the USACE, his co-ranger and our friend Jackie said we could camp with the host at Martis Creek. We really had a great time and knew Christopher would his camping trip in the weeks to come with his grandparents.

During the day we went into Kings Beach to soak up some rays. Christopher really enjoyed being at the beach. He loves the water and playing in the sand. That evening after Jaime returned from work. We drove back into Kings Beach and had dinner with our friends. They have a cabin their, so it made it super easy to walk back down to the Lake and enjoy the fireworks that evening. We all had a great time. I'm glad we took the time to go up there.

The year Jaime district picnic was in Rocklin, CA inside Johnson Springfield Park. It was nice because we did not have to drive so far. Jaime invited his parents up this year and everyone seemed to have a good time. They have fun things for the kids to do and also games for the adults. I was disappoint that we did not participate in any events this year. But i was happy that we got to see many faces of the Corps, that we have not seen in a while. Until next year.

Fathers Day 2011

This year for Father's Day Jaime was working nights at the Lake. Since my own dad was visiting, we took the BBQ out to Jaime. It was really nice. First we BBQ New York steak, green beans, and garlic bread the the BBQ. Then Jaime took us all up lake for a boat ride. The water was still spilling and the Lake was really high. My dad enjoyed seeing the lake full.

Englebright Lake Camping

Christopher was gone for a couple of days so Jaime and i wanted to try out all our new backpacking and camping gear. We parked at Bridgeport State Parks and hike alittle over 1 mile to Point Defence campground at Englebright Lake where Jaime currently works. We took Ginger, but I'm sure glad we did not have Chris. It was very hot even though we took off in the morning. Not sure how it would have went with all 4 of us. But the over night trip was well worth the time and effort we put into it.

Some highlights of our trip were......
Ginger got her first swim lesson, even though she did not want them. She almost seemed to like it.
Jaime and i played card and dice games.... We also drank alittle to much Port, Jaime had to walk and get us a bottle of Jager LOL
The Bookholtz showed up right before dinner, and greeted us with heat and happiness

Summer Picnic 2011

My mother works at Bell Carter and every year they have a picnic for your family. I have never been able to go. Last year Christopher had a great time. The year it was at Woodson Bridge in Corning. They had carnival games, bounce houses, bubble stations, and even a water slide. It is pretty that the have all the food too and even some cold treats like ice cream. I wish the weather had been a little warmer but we couldn't complain because the day was really wonderful.

On June 5, 2011 i ran in the "Women's Fitness Festival" it was held in Sacramento at the State Capital. It was truly amazing to see so many women come out and support each other. Whether it was their first race or their 100th race. That morning when i left home it was pouring down rain. As i drove up 70 the rain tapered off. When i reached the State Capital is started to raining again. I figured rain or shine i would run. All the money raised went to a organized called WEAVE....

I'm very happy that my mother decided to go to the "All that Glitters Pink" event put on by Susan G Komen. It was a wonderful place for women that have been infected by breast cancer to come together with one other. My mother and I met many wonderful women that evening. One lady that set at our table had been a 3 time survivor for like 27 years. all in all it was a great night. Thanks for sharing it with me mom

Christopher's preschool class at Lone Tree got class pets. 30 hermit crabs... Each student brought them home one weekend and took care of them. When Christopher had to return Sharky he cried for 2 days straight. Daddy was in Kansas at the time, so he called him and dad let him get a new one. Nemo... pics to come soon.

Christopher turned 4 years old on Nov 16th 2011. I was pretty stressed out and unhappy. I sent many invitation and planned a great party.. Only to have people cancel the night before. After a night a crying and disappointment, i decided this was not my party it was Christopher, and so far he was super happy to be turning 4. Christopher, myself and Jaime stayed up late... Making the Cake of Christopher dreams. "DIESEL" Christopher was the happiest little man on earth, and so was his mommy. Sometimes we have to remember that the parties are not for us, and they don't want to much. They just want to have a great time

Disney On Ice

At the end of October, Jaime went out to Kansans City for a week. I wanted to do something fun with Chris, since Jaime was gone. I seen that Disney on ice was at Arco. So Grandma Lynn came down and we spent the afternoon in Old Sac and then headed over to Arco. It was so fun watching Christopher eyes light up when the show started. I was worried that he might get tired. The show did not start until 7pm, but he did really good. It is something i will be taking him to again, we all enjoyed it very much. Scaryville 2010

So in Marysville they do this thing called "Scaryville" its on Halloween day and they take over the downtown area. The city closes the streets down from like 5-9pm and all the store fronts hand out candy. They also have haunted houses for the older kids, a small carnival for the younger ones. Each business downtown has games for the children to play. Christopher had a blast. The last picture of him, is of him doing Zumba. It was so cute watching him dance with the little girl next to him. We will for sure do this every year. It is a great way for the children to have a safe and fun evening. When Christopher got home around 630-7. He handed out candy. He wanted to hand all of his out to. We told him thank you for sharing. We thought he might be upset the next day, but he never asked for his candy again. ;)

Fusion Yuba City Fashion Show

Christopher school changed the parade to a fashion show do to the rain we had that week. It was really cute to see the kids get on the table and do their little walk. The school set up a little carnival inside, with a face painting station, bean bag toast, coloring, dancing, and treat -or- treating. Christopher and I made "Mummy Wrapped Hot dogs" for lunch and they were a hit. After the children ate lunch, then came the goodies, like cupcakes and cookies.

Bishop Pumpkin Farm

In the middle of the month Christopher Preschool went on a field trip to the Bishops out in Wheatland. Christopher was not feeling all so great that day, so i did not get any great group pics. But he still had a wonderful time with his class. They all got to ride the train, go on a hayride, got to go down the slide at marble mountain, and at the very end we all got a fresh cup of apple cider. mmmmm All in all it was a great day, but it was so hot. I think it was in the 90's that day. So i felt bad for the children that did not have the parents with them. We luckily brought my water pack, and we always had water. Teacher Micheyl reminded the children that the must pick a pumpkin they could carry. Christopher was happy to find his little baby pumpkin right away.

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm

This year was Christopher 1st trip to Bishop Pumpkin Farm. I also learned it was Jaime's too. At the beginning of the month before things got to crazy we met our Ranger friends and family down in Wheatland. This farm is so much fun. The have a train, hayrides, petting zoo, pig races, grave tractors, a wooden train, steel rocking horse, slides, and even a old train that is real. The also have homemade crafts and food. The Bookholtz's and Jimerfields's met us down there to have a great time too.

We bought Chris some food to feed the goats. The food was in Ice Cream cones. I was surprised he wanted to feed them. After awhile he was picking the baby goats up and carrying them around. After i left i seen a sign that read "Don't let your children pick up the animals" oh well.

They had this huge area were the laid down old mattresses and threw hay over it. The children could run, jump and bounce. It was really fun to watch.

Dylan and Christopher were too cute. They wanted to try and pick them up, but as you can see they were way too big.

We all enjoyed the hay ride but Jaime, he was trying to get out of it the whole time. But it was fun watching Chris and the other boys pick their pumpkins.

Marble Mountain was alot of fun, just big slides on the mountain. When its time to leave they give you alittle bag and you can get 10 marble out of the water. The kids just love it.

Pink October

Pink October: Geweke's Caring for Women Foundation. Pink October started 13 years ago as a single 5K Race for Awareness. It has grown into 6 events. It is pretty cool that they have something like this in our area. I asked my mother to do it over a month ago, but she said, she would be working. So of course she waiting until the day before to tell me she was coming. It all worked out and the 3 of us had a wonderful day. Next year we might be alittle more organized. It is always hard going to a event for the first time. You never know what to accept. Last year they had only 720 people, this year they had over 1200. So of course they were alittle unorganized too. They ran out of shirts and etc. Luckily we both got one.

Grandpa Tom's Birthday

My father turned 64 on August 25, 2010. He was not feeling up to driving that weekend, so we did not get to help him celebrate. He decided to drive over Labor Day weekend. Christopher wanted to throw a birthday party for someone, so i told him we could do it for papa Tommy. That morning Christopher helped bake and decorate cupcakes. He wanted different color ones. I wanted to make a cake, but Christopher said he don't like cake LOL. Christopher was so excited to help blow out the candles. I put some trick candles on there for my dad and him. The harder they blew, the bigger the flame. It took both of them awhile to figure out what was going on. LOL my father he is just like a child too. We should have waited until Sunday to have the party. Because my mother and my in-laws showed up for our lunch BBQ before Jaime had to go to work. It was really nice to see everyone, and they are only an hour away. So they can drive up anytime.

Chimayo, New Mexico

Chimayo, NM will be my first blog post for the Espanola Valley. We visited the area in late early December while Jaime was training at Abiquio Lake, just north of Chimayo. The ground where beautiful, and we just had a winter storm the week before. The snow was still around in patches, but it was still in the low high 30's low 40's out. I did not take any pictures inside the church.
According to the story a farmer named Don Bernardo Abeyta, saw a strange light emanating from one of the hills near the Santa Cruz river, at Chimayó. The farmer walked to the light and started digging with his bare hands and he uncovered a crucifix in the ground. The story says he left the crucifix in the ground, and ran to the neighbor homes to bring them back. They ended up calling the priest from Santa Cruz. They were going to walk the crucifix back to Santa Cruz. To their surprise it was gone, and then brought back without them knowing. After several attempts to walk the crucifix back to Santa Cruz, it was decided it where they found it and build a small building over it. And that is what they did. People come from all over, because they say it has healing power. Family members would bring the sick there and pour the sand over them. The small room that was build over the crucifix is called "The Room of Miracles". Me and Christopher visited the room and it is quit an emotional place. I remember crying all the way back to the Inn where we were staying. I wanted to say a healing pray in general for our family and friends but i remember i did not know any. I do remember telling Christopher has he ran sand through his little finger, that no matter why or how he got sick i hope he made a quick recovery and stayed healthy throughout his life time. They say on Good Friday, that thousand of people come. It is beautiful to see year around. We were lucky enough to see it in winter and summer. I told the story as i remember it being told to me. After writing this blog i looked up the website.

Ok so someone was over the other day and asking about all our pics on the wall. Most of them were from when we lived in NM and did alot of traveling. There is so many great memories that we had, and alot of great places we got see. I always do some referring back to the movie "Cars" we lived on the old Route 66. Some of that movie was based on the little town we lived in. So I'm thinking once a week i will pick a picture and tell the story......

Well your 30's aren't as bad as most say. Mine started off great with the birth of my son, so i cant be to disappointed. I cant say any of my last birthday have been to memorable. When i turned 30 in 2006, i was pregnant. I remember driving around about 8 drunk people all night, apparently my husband thought i would get a kick out of him throwing me a birthday party at a bar. When i turned 31 we lived in NM, Christopher was little, and there was nothing to do. When i turned 33 we still lived in NM, and there was still nothing to do. When i turned 34, we lived in Madera, and there was still nothing to do. Just kidding. Last year i had the stomach flu the day before. The day of my birthday Jaime, Angela, and Christopher took me to Cool Hand Luke's. I barely ate a thing. Afterwards my husband got a kick out of taking all of us to the drive in to watch "district 9" OK whatever, i would rather be sleeping, so that is what i did. Got back in the car, and went to bed.
Now this year was a whole different story. Our friends from college, that currently live in Socal wanted to make a Chico visit. Jaime thought it would be good to do it my birthday weekend. I could have not agreed more. I guess he is making up for the past 4 years. LOL I still love him or maybe it was me telling him, if this birthday is like the last 4, someone is getting there butts kicked.

First things first. I met Eric at his place and he took me to lunch at a place called Big Tuna. The sushi was really good. I had one glass of wine, since Jaime gave me a lunch drink limit on my own birthday. After lunch we went back to Eric's. He asked me if i wanted to watch District 9. Was he kidding me or had he talked to Jaime. Turns out he was not kidding, I declined his offer and we had drinks and watched True Blood instead.

That evening for dinner to my surprise many of our friends and our parents were at Josh and Kelly's. It was a great surprise, this picture is from Lynn. I asked her to take a picture of all us kids. And sure enough my dad jumped in. But he is still a kid so what can we say. I'm happy to report, the food was excellent, and my gifts were even better. Jaime got me a ipod touch. Maybe so i would stop using his. But hey now i don't have to be on the computer to check my email or facebook.

We started the night off at the 33 steak and booze. Our good friends Tyler and Lisa own the restaurant and bar. That is us with them taking shots of Jack Daniels. Don't ask me why, but that is their drink of choice. But I'm happy to report it went down smooth. Later that evening i was told Eric did something called the "3wisemen" which i also learned was a shot of Jack, a shot of Patron, and a shot of Jager. Yes he was still alive the next day, and going strong. We were all so luckily to have Big D aka Daniel grace us in his presence. We did not think we would see him during this trip. But we were happy that he made the 2hr trip home to see us.

This was at the end of the night. Jaime just wants to go to bed. Bryan went back out into the living room and joined in on Bible talk.

The next morning as we all rolled out of bed with hanging overs, we were gearing up for day 2 of my birthday weekend. After debating on where to go and what to eat. We ended up at Morning Thunder, and let me tell you no matter what time of day, you cant go wrong with this place. After our meal, we headed over to Bidwell Park, to re tell our stories of the "College Days". The boys dipped their feet in at the 1 mile, checked out all the hot college girls who were back in town, and then spied a old dude in speedo's hanging out on a bench. After our laugh, we headed up a trail along the creek. Where you can see a couple of hot guys laying out in the sun, and taking dips in the cold ass water. But it was a fun day. After a while we headed back to take naps, and get rested for our last night on the town.

After a well rested day and bloodly mary's... The four of us headed out... First stop Eric's Garden to take a couple pictures, I'm in love with the picture of Jaime and Bryan. Only because I'm not sure what the conversation was. Maybe they were laughing that i was being "Lily" again, as me and Jaime say. FYI Lily is the character on how i met your mother, and she is a freak about taking pictures and setting up the camera. Second stop Woodstocks, to get Amanda's Fav. After she ordered i think Jaime ate her pizza while she was in the bathroom. Third stop Chico State Baby... We walked around half drunk, dreaming of being college students again. We made many more stops at different bars that night. But the last picture was taken at LaSalles. I do remember talking about the Lemon throwing night and the long nights when they used to let us dance in the cages. But i also remember the single guy who took this picture. He was waiting for his rude friends who never showed up, He had like 3 pitchers of beer. Our last stop of the night was trip #2 to woodstocks. I guess Amanda need her pizza fix.

They next morning was an interest one. We all woke up and it was like 10-1030am we were like WTF. We were all rushing around like we were late for work. LOL we all just wanted to see our little one. Amanda and Bryan still had a 8hr drive ahead of them. But more memories were made this weekend. Some untold....... and locked away in a vault, where Elaine Benes can't find George and the key. We laugh because 9 years ago on my Birthday Bryan and Amanda moved in above us in our apt on North Cherry. We invited them out with us and our friends for my birthday. It makes us happy that most of the people from this weekend were there 9 years ago too. I only turn 34 once, I'm pretty sure i made the best out of it.

It seems like it takes for ever to pack and then unpack again. We are here at our new place and enjoying our new life in Marysville. Our move went great, but the unpacking has been slow. I'm starting to miss my big kitchen in Madera, but as i start to adjust i will get over it. Our living room, dining room, and garage are all bigger. But we lost a bathroom and both rooms are smaller. Plus is we have a huge backyard for Christopher to play. We live on a busy corner, so it is hard for him to let him play out front alot. Another plus is that we live right across from a city park. Since our move it has been in the 100's and has been way to hot to go.
Hopefully fall will soon arrive and we will get some play time in. But we cant complain to much, we are a hour from our parents. And only 45mins from friends in Chico, Roseville, and Sacramento. Life in the Ramirez house will get a easier once we settle in alittle more.
It has helped that Christopher started preschool. He loves going to see his teachers and new friends. Next week he will be going MWF. Today he met his new speech teacher Kelly. She works out of Kynoch School, which is only a block away. He starts next Tuesday. Jaime is enjoying being back at Englebright with the old crew.

Christopher First Day of Preschool

Jaime and I have been checking out Preschools in the Yuba City and Marysville area since Jaime took the job at Englebright. We decided on a School Called Fusion Preschool Academy. They are opening a new school down the street from where we live in October. So for now we will drive him to the one in Yuba City. We decided on Tuesday/Thursday until the end of August. If he is adjusted in the 2 1/2 weeks then in September we will have him go Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Then when the new Fusion "Little Cone Zone" opens in October he will be going there 5 days a week. It is nice that we get to ease him into school instead of forcing him to go. This way he will be able to enjoy it and relax. It was funny when my mother was up on Monday I was telling her how happy i was he would be able to start Preschool. She said that i was going to be crying and all. I was like what ever. She said you'll see how hard it is to let him go and know that he is growing up.
Christoper's first day was On Tuesday August 17th. He needs to be there @ 830am. So we left our house about 815. After we crossed over the Yuba Bridge, i turned around to see what he was doing. He had a sad look on his face. I told him that we were going to his new school, he just shook his head yes. A couple seconds later he told him his tummy was hurting, and that he was not sure if he should go to school. I laughed "to my self" and told him he would be OK and that he would make a lot of new little friends, and he would get to sing, and learn. He just shook his little head yes. I reassured him, that after he ate lunch i would come pick him up. So when we pulled into the school, he told me his tummy hurt again. So i told him i would give him hug and kiss when we got out of the car. As soon as he was out of the car, he threw up twice. and then told me he was scared. I told him i loved him and he would be OK. I then told him that since he was not feeling well we could go home. He said he wanted to still go to school. ;)
So we went in and pretty much said our goodbyes and he looked happy to see the other child. He was for sure very nervous and cautious as he looked around, he had only been there once before on a tour. I could see that he was watching the other children and seeing what they were doing. He hugged and kissed me and i say goodbye.
Sure enough i was crying all the way home. It is hard to believe that Christopher has come so far,
since our move to California. Seeing him grow and learn more everyday. I did not take the camera inside with me, i was not sure since he got sick. I don't want him being uncomfortable. so here are the few i got before we left home.

Lake Tahoe 2010

Ok Everyone I'm so behind on my Blog. I guess that is what happens when you are packing and moving. The last week of July and the first week of August. Both our parents joined us in Tahoe. I will have to say we made alot of memories and we sure did enjoy our time together. Me and Jaime are very lucky to have parents that get along with each as well as us getting along with them. I tried to make sure i got alittle of everything, but the pictures are not in order. It was nice, each night someone was in charge of dinner. It made it nice to have others cooking. It was a great week and we are looking forward to doing it again every year.
Things we did........

Took a boat ride on the Tahoe Gal: got a tour of Emerald Bay and the history
Went to Kings Beach State Park a couple of times during our stay
Jaime went Mountain biking almost every day @ Martis Creek, which is a Corp camp ground near Truckee and Northstar ski resort
Went to dinner at Steams, Mini Golf, and then to Ice Cream one night
Jaime, myself, and the 2 moms went to the Casinos down the way, while Christopher stayed home with his 2 grandfathers.
Saw a bear up close, and had him return every night after to the cabin we were staying at
Went to Northstar for the day and to Truckee to walk around
Went to Squaw Valley USA one evening and rode the cable car to the top. That same night Christopher did the Sky Jumper which he loves.
On Saturday Jaime and I went to South Lake Tahoe: Did Improv and Hot August Nights. Christopher went bowling in Incline with Grandma Lynn and Papa Mark

Moving.....and the Stress of PCS

Ok i guess this one is way over due. As most of you know awhile back Jaime, turned down the Lake Mendocia Job. He wanted to hold out on a job in NorCal where both our parents live. Last month, he accepted the Natural Resource Specialist aka Park Ranger job at Englebright Lake up near Grass Valley. Jaime worked as a student at this lake when we were finishing up college at Chico State in 2002. We were super excited, more than words can express. We were so excitied to move back to Cali in 08. But being down here in the Central Valley, still has held us back from seeing the people who we hold dear in our lives. Making new friends is not always a easy task. You find people are always not that welcoming. Though me and Jaime have been lucky to always find and keep friends. I hope the ones we have found here, we will continute to communicate with.
Everyone that worked there when he was a student is still there. Also another fellow student ranger Josh, has also come back to the lake. That makes it nice, because we have remained friends with him and his wife Kelly. So just knowing that all of our friends will be a hop, skip, and a jump away is teriffic. And not to mention our HS and college friends that we have met on our journey. Most of stayed in the area, and we can enjoy being close with them again.
Moving.... I have never got stress about Jaime and him wanting to move all over. His work is great about coming to our home and packing us up, and driving or household goods to the new location and the need unpacking. Who can really complain when all of this is going on. On that note, we have never moved in the summer time. It has always been in early fall or winter. After Jaime received his travel order, we called the base in CO. who would be assisting with our move. The lady who we talk to said they were backed up do to summer moves, 3 to 4 weeks backed up. She suggested Jaime move his start date. We were like i don't think so. She the only other opinion was to move our self...
And sooo... The stress Begins... Packing is not easy when you have a 3 year old. So anybody who has moved with small children i give you credit.. "I can hear people laughing at this point..." as a friend told me last week. "Crystal, all normal families move themselves, so stop being so selfish." Ouch.... i guess I'm totally spoiled. I guess i still have no complaint, they are paying for everything.
So with boxes all over the house... Life is starting to be more stressful Only 7 more days in Madera. Should i be happy or sad or maybe alittle of both.

Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad

Like always there is way to many pictures to post. So I'm going through trying to figure out which one's people will enjoy the most. Jaime and I always seem crazy busy. But during the winter they close this place down, so we have not had a chance to take Christopher up that way. I will have to admit, i don't think Jaime get excited over trains, as must as Christoper and I do. LOL But Jaime's parents love to get out and take road trip. So it was a perfect time to spend their last day in town, driving up to Fish Camp and Bass Lake.

It was a nice 1 hours train ride, through 4 mile round trip of sierra forest. We went up to a little camp were they do a moonlight special with camp fires, etc. The train had to get more water for the trip back to the station, so we were able to get out and walk around.

It is crazy how time flies... 16years ago, i graduated HS.I will admit, it was not a easy 16years. My Senior year, i met Jaime. Even though he was 2 grades below me, I some how felt a connection with him. With me being in College and Jaime still in HS, our relationship was challenged many of times. But somehow, we also worked it out, and stayed together. After Jaime graduated we moved in together. Alittle over 2 years after Jaime graduated from HS he proposed to him, and 2 years after that we got married. We made the choice to have a small wedding out of town. but 34 people joined us in Vegas. Our closes family, and our best friends. Jaime and I could not asked for a better time. After 10 years, we are still best friends. We still have our challenges though they are different from the ones when we were young. We still work out the differences and remain best friends. I think that is what you need in a great relationship. Friends first. If you agreed on everything what would be the point right. I cannot complain about a single thing. We have done so many great things over the last 16year, and the last 10years, have been some of the best times of my life. I only hope our next 10 years, or even 16years lives up to what we have experiences together. Like i said before... 10 years ago i married my best friends, and i love him now more than anythings. Thanks Jaime.

Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park

One camping trip that i remember going on has a child was to SNP. Since we have lived in the Central Valley i have wanted to take Christopher but we never find the time. Now that we are leaving the area, it has been on our top things to do. Since Mark and Lynn have never been we decided to take them one day while they were in town staying with us. There was alot of pictures taken during this trip and I'm sorry i can not show they all to you, but here are the ones from each of our stops.

Our first stop on the trip was at the Hume Lake Ranger Station.

Our next stop on the road trip was Kings Canyon Visitors Center @ Grant Grove Village. I'm alittle disappointed that we did not walk out to the General Grant Tree. But we seen alot of beautiful things that day.

Our next stop along the way was at the Redwood Mountain Overlook: redwood mountain grove. Which is the largest grove of Sequoias in the world. It was a pretty cool view. Christopher found some bugs and was pretty happy.

So as we are moving on down the "Generals Hwy" we came to a turn out, and decided to stop at the last minute. Turns out this is the Lost Grove. It was our first group of pretty large trees, it was just awesome to see. The picture right about this where Mark is at: "The 3 Sisters" that is what Mark named those tree behind him. The where all kinda grown together. There was a big tree at the top of the hill that Chris and I climbed up in. He said it was too dark mama, in there, he wanted to leave. Another great thing about the area, was the wildflowers they were so colorful, and they were everywhere.

General Sherman Tree trail: It was cool to see the largest tree in the World, Yes the world. As you can tell from the pictures, we are so tiny compare, with the massive creatures. It is amazing to witness the beautiful world around us.

Next stop was the Giant Forest Museum: We ate lunch tailgate style. We went through the museum and learned many interesting facts about the area. We got to see the sentinel tree and drove through tunnel log. Other things we seen were auto log. A tree had fallen, and our guess is they used it for a bridge along time ago.

Moro Rock was our last stop inside the park. We climbed 400 steps up to the top of a huge granite dome. We could see the great western divide, a crest of 13,000 foot peaks capped by snow. It is the largest dome in the park. But the 360 degree view is one of the best i have seen. This side of Half Dome that is.

After waiting 45mins in Road work, we headed out of the park, and down into Three River. Jaime wanted to check out Lake Kaweah, which is a Corp lake at the base of the valley in a small town called Lemon Cove. Our Friend Valerie McKay works there, and we figured this might be our only time to visit her at work. To our surprise we ran on to our Friend Adam who works at Pine Flat, and Skip who is the Senior Ranger at Englebright. It was a great surprise to see them both. So we hassle Skip about Jaime start date, but nothing new.

Wine Tasting with the Ramirez's

Right after 4th of July Mark and Lynn came down to stay for the week. Jaime and I were going to leave for our 10 year anniversary. But we decided to stay in town, and do things that we have not yet been able to do. On Jaime's first day off we took his parents wine tasting and then spent the day in Fresno. Our first stop was at Appellation California. It is a new place wine tasting and visitors Center for the Central Valley, so they have many wines to choose from. One bottle that i got was a pomegranate wine. Called Twin Poms. The host told us it would be great mixed with 7up and Vodka. Our second stop was at Ficklin Vineyards. Jaime has fallen in Love with Port. Something he has not liked before. But at Christmas we went on the Madera Wine Stroll and Tractor lighting. Ficklin was there, and ever since Jaime has been hooked. My mom came for a visit for the 4th. It was a nice weekend. Cupcakes, Cookies, Cheesecake. mmmmm
This years Menu had.... Cheddar Turkey Burgers, Red White Blue Potato Salad, Corn on the Cob, a yummy fruit salad. We had a wonderful day. We took a picnic lunch out to Eastman Lake where Jaime works. sandwich, chips, pasta salad, and some fruit. We were lucky enough that Jaime could take us out on the boat for a ride, while he was doing Boat Patrol. He drove us back where the Eagle's have been nesting to see if they were out enjoying the day. Sure enough one was perched on a branch, right on the lake. Christopher got a kick out of seeing it. It was huge. I tried to get a picture of it flying back to the nest, but i was not fast enough. But the wing span was crazy. When we returned from the Lake we hit up the pool, i was hoping Christopher would get a short nap in. Sadly i was wrong. That evening after dinner, him and Jaime both fell asleep about 630pm and didnot get up until the next morning around 630am- 7am. So we missed the fireworks. I watched movies in bed, while they both slept. But we could have not asked for a better all around day.

Things we Enjoyed in June

I know i had several post for June. But i wanted to share some things that did not get posted that we enjoyed. This Month we went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Celebrated Fathers Day, Went to a Corp picnic, enjoyed a day at the water park, Christopher went to the dentist for the first time, and we enjoyed a day of hiking at Bass Lake. But there were things that we also enjoyed that i did not write about.

We spent endless days at the pool. This month Christopher started jumping in the pool alone and going underwater. Everybody, has been so impressed with his skills.

Me and Jaime started wine tasting on the Madera Wine Trail. I just hope that we will get to visit all the wineries before we move

I'm sad to say Boston Celtics lost to the LA Lakers. In a great series. We still love you Boston

We took Christopher bowling twice this month. Every time he just loved it. Maybe he will get his father's Red Rhino.

So this year Jaime decided he wanted to go to his district picnic. The had it in Elk Grove at the Rotary Park. Just wanted to share a couple of the pictures from the day. Christopher really loved trying to hula hoop and Frisbee. Angela dressed up like Bobby the Beaver. Alyson dressed up as Bobber the Water Safety Dog. Everyone had a wonderful and sunny day.

What is your summer plan?

May has come and gone. With June slipping by, our summer is slowly passing us by... I asked my self what is the plan for summer?
~~June:~~ Well in June we have already been to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Wild Water Adventures, and on several short day hikes. I cant forget all our days lounging pool side. Also Christopher has already spent a week in Corning with his grandparents. I'm sure he had a full schedule of events. Starting off with SF Zoo, Pier 39, caper acres, company picnic, and even a birthday party. For the rest of the month we have the USACE picnic in Elk Grove, maybe another Baseball game, some more hiking trips, and still possibly a visit from the grandparents. And we cant forget Fathers Day
~~July:~~ Not sure what Christopher and I will do, but Jaime has to work 4th of July night. "For the 2nd year in a row" :( The 2nd week in July Jaime's mom will come to stay with Chris for our anniversary. July 6th-8th, we will head to Oakland, Ca. We spend a little time all over. Jack London Square, SF, A's vs Yankee's, and who know what else. Christopher will spend another week up in Corning. I will also go to my gf baby shower in Santa Rosa. I'm sure me and Jaime will hit up YNP and do some hiking. The Last week of July we will spend at our friends cabin In north Tahoe, and both our families will join us.
~~August:~~ hopefully by this time we know where we are going to be living. So i can get Chris enrolled in school. I turn 34 this August, and we are planning a Chico trip with our college friends Amanda & Bryan

Wild Water Adventures

Wild Water Adventures: Last month Jaime & I took Christopher to see a Fresno Grizzles game. In return they gave us a couple free tickets to the water park. Since it was around 100 today Chris & I headed over to Clovis. It was quite the drive, 45mins :(. When we go to the Island, its like 15mins at the most. But it was will worth the drive. Last year Alyson brought us to the same park, so i was wondering if he would remember. And sure enough he did. This time around i got him to go down the green water slides in the children section. The drop off is in about 2 feet of water, and I was surprised that he did not mind going underwater. One time he held his breath and swam alittle. He had so much fun, i could not even get him to sit and eat lunch. So I was not surprised when a mother came to me, and told me Christopher just pulled down his swim trunks and peed down the octopus slide LOL. I mean what do you say to the mother when they tell you that. Thanks, "Now i know he does not need to go." or Thanks, "Let me get our things and get the hell outta here."

Oh well things happen. I was the mother who let her son piss down the slide, and do nothing about it. I wasn't worried, because we wont be going back there, and i will never see them again.

At the end of the day 2:45 Christopher came to me and said he was sleepy, and needed to go pee. So of course i sent him back to the water slide from earlier. LOL just kidding. I knew he would be hungry and thought he would sleep as soon as the car started.

Sure enough, he devoured a PB sandwich, and thing of chips, Gatorade, and then passed out. Slept all the way home & and did not wake until 630ish. The End.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

This past Monday June 7th, Jaime parents invited us down to Discover Kingdom in Vallejo, Ca. Jaime brother Joe took the week off, so he was taking his family too. The night before we went, Jaime and I were trying to figure out When the last time we were there. I looked back through my pregnancy journey. The date was July 17th, 2006. That morning Jaime, Lynn, and I went to get my 2nd sonogram. It was that day i found out i was having a boy, and we named him Christopher Gene. So it did bring back alot of memories from that day. Also things have changed alot in 4 years. They put in a Thomas Town, and did several more updates. We were pleased. Christopher enjoyed him self to the fullest and so did we. I think as a parent it brings you a lot of joy to see your little ones happy. Jaime and I used to love to go on all the big scary rides, and wait in line the whole time. But this time, it was fun taking it easy and watching Christopher enjoy his day to the fullest. His cousin Alissa was great, she really likes to be with Christopher, so she did a lot of things with him. Timothy was off with his dad, riding all the big rides and getting as much in as he could. I didn't get a lot of pictures today. But i wanted to share a few of them with you.

Christopher 1st Dental Appointment

On June 3rd, 2010 Christopher went to his first dentist apt. I didn't know what to expect at all. There are so many dentist out there, how would i know Christopher would like them. So i called Aetna, and got a list of dentist i could use. I then opened up the yellow pages; cause sometimes they have pictures of what these people look like LOL. To my surprise I see 2 young females who look like twins. Crystal & Sabrina Nassar. So i called to see if they were taking new patients. And lucky for me they were. This office was so Awesome. Christopher loved it. The girl and guy taking his X-ray, were so good to him. When Crystal came in to see us, she picked him up and took him to the computer to let him see his teeth. He was smiling from ear to ear. It was pretty cool for me to see to. He has 2 sets in there. His Baby and Adult. Her and Christopher counted his teeth. He told her, he has 4. She laughed and said you better have 20 in there, or there will be some problems. So they counted away. 10 on top and 10 on bottom. She told him that equal 20. But he told her it equaled 5. The rest was simple. Fluoride and Cleaning. As simple as i say it. He opened up and she did her job. After they were done, he asked alot of questions about the tools, and she gave me quick and simple answers. He was happy and nodded his head. Then he headed off the the Treasure Chest to claim his prize. My made his next apt. for Dec.

Bass Lake: The Way of the Mono Trail

This summer our goal is to do alot more hiking. We want Christopher to enjoy the great outdoors, and get some great exercise while he does it. But not only that we take for granted all hiking that is right in our backyard. Christopher was able to walk 1mile last year, but we also took the jogger alot. Today we took Christopher up to Bass Lake. There was a short trail. .8 miles with elevation gain of about 300feet. We could not have asked for better weather. Christopher enjoyed it so much, that he asked to do another loop, but we told him that we would just head down to the lake and he could play in the water. We saw and heard many different animals and sounds today. We saw some Big Black Bees the size of small birds, and they were so loud. Christopher thought it was pretty cool. I was very nervous. Looking forward to more hiking trips this summer with the family.

Baseball Season is here.......

We were very sad to learn that Christopher couldn't play T-Ball this year. He is about 6months to young. Last summer we bought him a tee to hit off of at Big5. We never bought him a glove, because he was still throwing with both arms. In the past months he has started using his left hand for alot more things. So Jaime and I went to Sports Authority and bought him his first little left handed glove. It is super cute to watch him throw the ball around with dad and I. It is nice to see him get so excited about it. Next year, he will knock their socks off in T-Ball hopefully.

Susan Koman for the Cure: Sacramento Ca

On May 8th, 2010 The Race for the Cure came to Sacramento, Ca. This year was a special year. My family and I were invited to be on a team called the RAC-PAC. "Ready Aim Cure" As many of you know in December of 2009 we lost a dear friend of ours name Lori McElyea. Her husband Bill gave us the invite, along with a handful of other friends we know. So not only was I there to support my mother Peggy in her 2nd walk. I was there to support my friend Bill, along with Lori's; daughter, son, and grand daughter. With me i brought my mother and father. Also my in laws Lynn and Mark came to support my mother again. And last but not least Christopher and my self. I have never been so honored to be apart of a team. We had 312 members on our team, and 43 of them were survivors. Each one of us has been touched by someone diagnosed with breast cancer…I ran in their honor…I ran in their memory – but we all were a part of something inspiring and memorable and we've helped make an impact. My team raised $39,886.50. That is enough money for 314 mammograms. I'm still trying to get a copy of our team picture, hopefully the captain will email me back soon. Right before the races started all the survivors on our team got in a circle and held hands, to say a prayer and to send them out on there way. It was very touching to see women who did not know each other, come together as one. It for sure brought a tear to my eyes. I was thinking back from last year at this time, when my mother first told me she had a spot on her mammograms. It was right around Mothers Day last year and since that day my mother has been through alot. I'm very proud of her, and the things she has overcome, and only hope the future will bring joy. She has many years ahead of her, and hope she is able to enjoy them all. Also since the Fresno Race For the Cure: my mother in law Lynn has had her mammograms come back with concerns. We also are very thankful that it has not been cancer. I know that God has a plan for all of us, but it cant hurt to have him watch over our families and our friends to stay healthy and strong. And when we finally know our plan, he will be there to guide us.

This year i wanted to try and beat my time in the 5K. I got third place in my age division, and was very happy. I'm also happy that out of 815 runner i came in 64th. I cant ask for a better time. Well i could, but i wont. I cant complain, about that when our weekend was so wonderful. And the event was one to remember. I look forward to many years being on this team, and supporting women in Northern California

Mother's Day 2010

Mother's Day

I just want to start out by saying that everyday i wake up and I'm THANKFUL for my wonderful family. I would not be the person i am today without any of you. I love my mother very much and I'm thankful to have her in my life and in my families lives. Thank you mom for being you and being there when i need you. I'm also thankful to have my mother-in-law in my life. She is a blessing and i have to thank god for bring someone so caring into my life. I'm luckily that me and Jaime's families get along so well, you don't really see that every day. So when i say family, i mean family. But without my husband and son life would not be the same. There would be a hole left unfilled. They bring me so much joy everyday. My life is never boring. I see how our mother's feel now when they are away from their families and children.

This year my heart goes out to anyone who has lost thier mother. I could not imagne, my life without mine. Everyday is a new day and a new memory.

Grandma Lynn & Papa Ramirez Birthday

Mark and Lynn Birthday both falls on April 25th. This year they came down for the weekend to take Christopher to kids fish day. On Sunday we traveled back to Corning to have a BBQ with the Family. Christopher helped make Mark a birdhouse and Lynn a picture frame. We also made a Chocolate cake for them after the votes were tallied from Faceboook. It was a great weekend. made a simple dinner on Friday and then went to dinner at Cool Hand Luke's on Saturday night. Mark and Jaime has Double shots of Patron. Need i say more me and Jaime never made it to the movies. But we still had a great time. But Sunday morning Mark wanted to go eat the the Rancho San Miguel. This year on April 24th, 2010 it was Eastman's turn to host KFD. Christopher was a little older, and he had alot of fun. Grandma and Papa Ramirez came down for their birthday weekend to help take Christopher out to Eastman Lake to help him learn about fishing. But Kids Fish Day is also about water safety. I think it is a great thing that the Corp does. Participants will have an opportunity to learn how to fish as well as participate in various water safety activities. A Free lunch is served and lots of door prizes. Christopher won a $10 gift card this year to walmart. Alyson did some sing this year too.

Sierra Lanes Bowling: Christopher first time

One April 17th, 2010 we took Christopher on his first bowling trip. We went with our friend Alyson, her boyfriend Russ; his 2 children, and our friend Angela. He just loved it. We didnot know what it except from the evening, but as soon as he say the balls and the lanes, his little eyes lite up. We will be going again soon. Christopher was bowling with a 6 lb ball, but wanted the 8lb ball because it was orange. He kept saying Mama ball to big. It was so cute. He gave daddy a big high 5 when he bowled his first strike.

It sure has been raining like crazy in the Central Valley this year. The Fresno River finally has water in it. It is a dry river that runs through Madera. There has been alot of rainy day activities. Usually the sun will come out in between the down pours. On this day Christopher wanted to push his trucks through all the flooded water. He was completely soak after he came in. But he did have alot of fun.

Everyday that i wake up, i see alittle more of Christopher in me and Jaime . Christopher enjoys being independent and free. He enjoys the out doors and being able to run free.

He always has a smile on his face, and it makes me happy to be his mother. That does not mean he is alway doing what he is told though. LOL He has his own little mind, and god has given him his own soul.

He warms my heart and fills my days with happiness, along with alot of house work and cleaning. sometimes it is overwhelming, but i try to think positive. He may be my baby forever, but i need to cherish the days that i have with him.

Im looking forward to watching him grow and be his own little person. Im looking forward to the days he is in school. Playing Sports, making friends, and enjoying life. I hope he will make wonderful memories. Just as his father and i did growing up.

We will try to give him all the opportunity that we can. I love you

Easter 2010

This year Easter was so much fun. Christopher enjoyed coloring eggs and decorating them. He also enjoyed baking some cupcakes for daddy's work. The weather was not that great, so the morning of Easter before daddy headed to work we did a hunt in the house. Christopher could not get enough of hiding the eggs and finding them. He loved his bouncing bunny from grandma Lynn and his car bucket from grandma Peggy. That evening we went out to Eastman Lake. We got there just before the rain came. For one more quick hunt. Every year is a new adventure with this boy. I look forward to every Easter. This year by far his favorite book and TV show at Easter time was "The Chocolate Chicken" a max and ruby favorite. Christopher and I enjoyed taking these pictures together and just laughing. There are always so many to pick from

My First Eastern Sunrise. I would like to say, i have never in my life seen anything like it. Well maybe the sunset on the Western Shores. I do know it is something everyone must see. It is funny now that i have seen the sun actually rise. I remember once thinking, we stayed up to watch the sunrise. "over what" "Chico, Corning, the Pacific Ocean." That is not the sunrising for sure. I just loved being right on the Ocean. It is a different experience all together. These pictures were all taken the first morning i was there. I woke up about 650am thinking that i had missed it. But it was still pitch dark out. So i called the front desk, they told me about 715am. Sure enough 717am on Sunday March 28th, 2010 The Sun starting rising over the Atlantic Ocean. I guess you need to start down at the bottom to get the full affect. I messed them up when posting them. I should have started the other way.

I want to start by thanking my husband for inviting me on a work trip. I love that he is not embarrassed at all by my fun loving ways. LOL I will have to say that ever since he has become a Park Ranger we have met so many wonderful people who are super nice and extra fun. I'm very grateful that Jaime loves his job and he gets to travel. Me and Christopher are very lucky. But once Chris starts school it will be hard for us to go with him. I would also like to Thank Alyson, Terry, Skip, Adam, Nick, Gary, Valerie, and Sylvia. They made me feel welcome to be on there team and feel right at home with the Corps. Funny everyone thought i was a ranger anyways. But we met a lot of great people from around the states that were great too. Some of the places we went were: Oyster Pub, Razzles, Ocean Deck, Mai Tai, Cruiser, Wingstop, Sloppy Joe's, Hooter's, Bubba Gumps and even through a strip club in one night called Lolly Pops. LOL

I just wanted to say a quick update. Jaime had to make some (3) very important calls today. And it was really hard on him. Call 1 to Kevin, Call 2 to Jerry, and Call 3 to Doug. He said he has never had to call 3 park mangers in one day. It was one of the hardest things. I'm glad he is a strong person and has the courage to follow his heart, and to know when to do the right thing for his family. Even though he is letting others down. Our Florida trip was an eye opener for us, and we thank everyone who has gave us input. After 6 days of deliberating... Jaime is turning down the Lake Mendocino job. Hopefully something better will be in our future. Our decision has been based on our families needs. Right now we are happy in Madera. Hopefully in the near future we will be closer to our families in Northern California. Wish us luck.

Wow life sure has changed. I remember back in college waiting for the day the bars opened at 10am in downtown Chico. Getting drunk and watching bands at 216 Hazel St. Where Jer and Eric lived, they would throw some crazy parties. I would have to say that those were the days. Now St. Patties Day is alittle different. This year we didnot do much. But Christopher sure did enjoy baking these Green Peanut Butter and Chocolate Swirl Cookies.

Well as you know we tend not to stay long in one place for very long. Last Thursday our friend Kevin from Lake Mendocino called Jaime to ask if he would like to work for him. ;) after discussing it over Jaime and I agreed it would be a great place for our family. That is how our family makes most of our decision. Is it great for our family. On Friday Jaime called Kevin and gave him the go ahead to talk to HR. I Love the times were Chris and I can let loose and have fun. We have been dancing and jumping on the bed. He loves it. Now he always wants to turn itunes on. He loves to dance to the song "Down" it just cracks me up. I love you little peanut. BTW he has Peanut Butter and Jelly all over his face. He will not tell me wash his face. Ok so this last week my parents were here. Christopher said he had to go pee. After the toilet flushed, i hear him ask Jaime. "Whats that" Jaime replies, "your balls"
I'm trying so hard not to laugh, along with my mother who is in the kitchen with me. Christopher then comes out of the bathroom with no underwear on. Mama Mama. Yes Christopher i say, "Mama i got Balls." I said, " That is nice to know Christopher thanks for sharing." he moves on to my mom. "grama grama Chris got balls," he says. My mother replies, "That good to know, not alot of guys have got balls." laughter feels the kitchen and everyone is laughing. Christopher is stilling running around with no underwear telling everyone he has balls. Finally my dad who cant obvious hear. Asked what is going on. Chris walks up points at his Balls and says, "Papa i got balls." My dad is like i think something is wrong with his balls. LOL
I say, "dad you crack me up, he is telling you he has balls"
"Oh" my dad says. "And yes you have 2 of them"

The project was very easy. i think the longest thing was cutting out the hearts but the sewing only took a few minutes to do. As you can see i made 2 of them. One for the table by the front door, "Baby Hearts" for Christopher. And then the other to go across the mantle.

Baking with love is what i love to do with Christopher. He loves to be in the kitchen with me. Since this boy cant keep his hands out of the flour, i love to put him to work. This year we made heart shaped sugar cookie in all different sizes. Mommy made sugar cookie sandwiches with heart cutouts and home-made cream cheese frosting. Yum Yum Mommy Favorite. Lastly we made vanilla cupcakes with the same cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. Another one of Chris's Favorites. Thanks for all your help little man. Mommy loves you.

This year Christopher was totally into Valentines Day. He loved most those "baby hearts". He wanted mommy to cut out so many baby hearts. mama baby hearts. I don't know how many times i have heard that this month. But i did enjoying hearing it. His face lite up every time he seen a heart. He enjoyed making lots of valentines for all his family and friends. I never thought i would get sick of glitter and glue. That is all he has asked for in the last week. We finally ran out of glitter thank goodness. I was also wanting to use some materials up, that i have had for awhile. SO i helped Christopher paint some thing too. And everything came out great. Part 2 of losing sight....

Im sitting here thinking of what i just wrote, and another GF of mine came to mind. she came by my home today i told me she needed to buy new clothes. I was like why? don't you have enough? She said she had plenty, but she had went out with another GF of ours and some of her friends a couple weeks back. The friends told her she dress like a clown. WOW... I asked what she was wearing for them to say that to her? She told me and it did not seem like anything out of the ordinary. I told her don't go buying clothes to prove something to someone who does not mean a damn thing to you. You are who you are and you should not have to change your clothing for someone to like you or want to hang out with you. They either like you or they don't. your clothes have nothing to do with how nice you are, or how you treat other.. PERIOD..... Sometimes in life we must make compromises, this is not one of those times. Why should i ever think i dress better than someone else? or like wise. It think someone can look nice wearing a $25 outfit or a $225 outfit. It is not the price of the clothes. Is it because they fill they are better than her or know more than her? who knows. Since the economy has went to shit. It seems like a hear this more and more. I don't have a house, a don't drive a fancy car, and cant buy $200 jeans, etc, etc, etc... If you are hanging around people who care solely on these things in life, then you are clearly not friends and you are hanging with the wrong people. Don't get me wrong i love to have nice things and yes i have spent $300 on a pair of sunglasses. But i also have never in my life spend over 29.99 on a pair of jeans, nor will i ever. And i also would never tell anyone that they looked and dressed as a clown unless it was Halloween. And i would never tell anyone they needed new clothing unless they seriously did, and at that point they would probably need money to help buy new ones. Read my last blog.... And don't lose sight of life, who you are, and what is important to you.....

Its funny these last couple of weeks that is... I was adding a GF of mine from High School Brandy Smith to my blog. I inspired her to start a blog, so that she could share with her family the things that are important in our everyday life. Things that the grandparents and other family don't often get to see. I read her blog the first week she did it, and i was glad to have her on at blog spot. Well the last couple of weeks in the Ramirez's Home have been interesting to say the least. Today after i was adding her, i re-read are blog. I will for sure have to say we have lost sight to what is important, get for a split second. She talked about what is important for her family this year, and how they are trying to teach their children what is important in life. That nothing is impossible, and everything is within reach. It is so true our family, our children, and us are important. In US i mean me and Jaime. It is really all that matter's. And sometimes we lose sight of what is important. I'm glad i was able to re-read that blog, to realize i need to get back on track. Thanks BS

Ok so the other day Jaime came home from work, and Christopher pants were in the bathroom floor. He asked "what is up with these pants?" i said, "What pants?" " The pants that are white, that which ones." He laughed, from the bathroom. "OH THOSE PANTS!!!!"

Well... "Christopher got into a fight with the flour... You should have seen the flour.... Lets just say the flour did not win the fight with Chris.

Then i knew i needed a final shot of those pants. It will be a great thing to remember down the road.

Christopher you bring us laughter and joy everyday. You warm our hearts with all that you do. Even when mommy is cleaning up after you all day.

Monterey Bay 2010

It been close to 1 year since Christopher went to Monterey Bay. Last year me and daddy took him Valentines day weekend. This year daddy had his Ranger Conference there. We are so blessed to be able to travel with Jaime when he gets to travel for work. We are guess that this was our last Ranger Conference with Dad, next year Christopher will be in pre-school. But anyhow. we had a great trip. Grandma and Grandpa Ramirez came for the week. Though it was raining alot we still got out to do many things. I was lucky enough to go to the aquarium 2 days. Once with Christopher and once with Jaime's work. USACE got a back door look at the aquarium and got classroom time that i was able to sit in on. That was a major highlight. We also got to eat lunch at Phil Fish Market. Me and Jaime have been dying to eat there since we seen it on Bobby Flay's Throw Down. Short drive out to Moss Landing and worth every minute of it. Another highlight of the trip for me was hang out on the beach at night. Since we were right there anyways and it was only a walk away. Christopher could not sleep and some of the Ranger's made a bond fire and were sing music. Christopher loved it. The singing and dancing. Made his night.

It's Puddle Time

For the last year that we have lived in Madera, Ca. We have never seen it rain like we have the last several days. We have had one storm after another. And as many of you know, when you have alittle one, the rainy days are not always fun. Christopher just got new boots, so we were able to break them in when the rain let up and the sky's cleared. He loves to get out and jump, jump, jump. We go puddle jumping on Rainy Days.

When The Clock Strikes Midnight......

New Years Eve is always a time to celebrate the memories from the past and to start making memories for the future. And when the clock strikes midnight it is time to start reflecting the things in our life we want and need to change. And most importantly following through with the changes that we have set forth. 2009 was a hard year for me. We have just moved back to California a couple months before the year started. And we had moved to a new town in January of 09. It had seemed our life was starting over. Friends and Family moved in and out of our lives. Relationships changed. People's healths were not so good. As i ended 2009 and begin a new year i would like to start out with a quote.

We will open a book.
It pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book will be called "opportunity"
And its first Chapter is called, The New Year.

My 2010 resolutions but not in any order....

Spend more time with family & friends: Jaime and I both enjoy our time with both family and friends. But i think we have realized that sometimes we take time with them for granted. Taking time out of our busy lives, and doing something with them will be important to us. Having weekly or monthly dinners. Even if it means traveling or having a houseful.
Get organized: since this summer i have been unorganized. Making weekly and monthly to do list for myself, and stick to it. De-clutter, let go of things that i don't need, and hold on to the memories that i want.
Be fit and stay fit: I do think I'm fit now. But making lifestyle changes that suit both me and my family. Eating foods that are good for our body, jogging more, entering in more races. Getting our family to enjoy exercise together.
Help Others: since i have joined MomsClub and my mother has been sick. I have started reaching out to people in need. I hope to volunteer more, attend more events, and help raise money.
Enjoy Life: Sometimes we sit back and watch others, and wish we were doing things. Get out and try something new. enjoy life means making yourself happy. and the others around me happy. Take the easy road sometimes and just chill. Whatever you are chasing will still be there. All road traveled, and traveled well. Sometimes we take a wrong turn, but we will all end up back where we need.
Blog More: I would like to blog about more things going on around, my family, friends, and my feeling. Use my blog as a way to express how i feel and to display my family memories
Craft More: Sometimes i start projects and then forget about them. This year i want to make all my gifts throughout the year. And about 75% of my Christmas gifts
Be a Better Person: I overall believe I'm a great person. Sometimes i can be selfish. I only think of myself in a situation. I need to give more to others in the sense that relationships go 2 ways. All lives are important and we all need to see that.
Take a step back: I can not save the world alone. I need help from others. I need to start taking a step back and realizing their are others who can help to.
